Expungement & Record Sealing Attorneys

Don’t Let a Criminal Case Come Back to Haunt You

You handled the case. Paid your dues. Moved on. Or at least you thought you did.

Until your name popped up in a background check. Again.

That’s how old charges keep casting long shadows—on job offers, rental applications, professional licenses, even condo approvals. HR asks about it. The landlord wants an explanation. Suddenly, you’re reliving the past just to justify your present.

It doesn’t have to be like that.

At The Ticket Clinic’s DUI & Criminal Division, we help people seal or expunge their criminal records so they can move forward without baggage. These aren’t just legal options—they’re ways to protect your reputation, your opportunities, and your peace of mind.

Sealing vs. Expungement: What’s the Difference—and Why It Matters

The terms are often used interchangeably, but they’re not the same. Each serves a different legal function and offers a different level of protection:

  • Expungement is a full erasure. Your record is completely destroyed as if it never happened. Not even law enforcement will have access. You can legally say, “I’ve never been arrested,” in most situations. It’s the cleanest slate the law allows.

  • Record Sealing doesn’t destroy the record—it hides it from public view. That means employers, landlords, licensing boards, and most other private entities won’t be able to see it. However, certain government agencies and law enforcement can still access the information under specific circumstances.

Both are powerful, but which one you qualify for depends on the details of your case: the charges, the outcome, your age at the time, how long it’s been since the incident, and more. That’s why having someone who knows this terrain makes all the difference.

Why Trust Us With Your Record?

Some law firms charge thousands just to get started. They hand your file off to a junior associate or treat your case like a side gig. That’s not how we operate.

This Isn’t Just Legal Work. It’s Life Work.

You’ve got enough to focus on—career, family, housing, reputation. You don’t need a years-old charge hanging over your shoulder like a cloud you can’t shake.
