Case #: 2017CF00********
The Client was charged with DUI and carrying a concealed firearm, a felony charge. The Firm investigated the case and determined that the Client wrecked a motorcycle and then a firearm registered to the Client was found near his bike. The Client was then transported to a local hospital where law enforcement illegally drew blood from him that resulted in a blood alcohol reading three times the legal limit. The Firm discovered that there was no way the State could prove that the Client was concealing the firearm before the accident and did not have legal authority to draw the blood. As a result the State agreed with the Firm's legal argument and dismissed both the felony firearm charge as well as the DUI charge.
