DUI & Criminal Division

Our client was accused of being involved in an accident and then having fled that accident. Police arrived on scene and with the help of witnesses were able to track our client to his home. Police spoke with our client and convinced him to return to the accident scene where he could be identified by witnesses. Police also claimed they detected signs of intoxication in our client. Our client told the police he wasn’t the one driving but was unable to provide the name of who was. Our client was eventually arrested and charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident. Through our conversations with the police and witnesses, we were able to show there were contradictions in the stories everyone was telling. We argued to the State that they would not be able to prove this charge in a trial. The reluctantly agreed and dismissed the charge.
